Hi! I'm Andrea, the soap maker, and here is where you'll find a little information about Sacred Suds. It is a tiny little enterprise: one soap maker (myself) who, with occasional help from my husband (Brian), makes soaps and runs the business in between the workday demands and after our little ones have gone to bed. Somehow, even in that small window of time, I have managed to cover every available flat surface in our home with curing soaps. When I've got supplies on hand, I can't seem to stop myself from making these soaps – with every bar I make, I am inspired to create two or three more – and our small family can't possibly use them all! Nor, as much as we love our friends and families, can we afford the supplies required to continue to make the soap and give it away for free.

So in January 2008, we decided to launch Sacred Suds so that I could continue making the soaps and sharing some of the joy, love, and blessing that each batch has brought us. If, by doing so, we can bring in some extra money to help pay student loans or spend a little extra money on vacation that's great, but this is not, nor will it ever be, the driving purpose of the business. We will always be committed to carefully crafting special products, from the highest quality ingredients possible, to share with others.

why "sacred" suds?

We believe that it is in every person's power to reach within and find what they need – whether it's love or strength, peace or wisdom – by focusing on those qualities and keeping them at the forefront of our thoughts and actions. By giving something our attention, either through prayer, meditation, or ritual, we give it power to grow and manifest in our lives.

Sometimes, though, we need gentle reminders to focus on the things that give our lives meaning. That's where Sacred Suds come in. Our hope is that our soaps will help remind you turn your attention every day (or every time you wash) to the positive energies you would like to bring into your life.
